How to Become a Christian
Becoming a Christian is not about perfection - it is about trusting Jesus with your life, sin, and future.
“If you declare with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”
Admit your need
Every person has sinned and fallen short of God's glory. Honesty is the first step - we need a Savior, not self-improvement alone.
God already knows your heart. You can come to Him exactly as you are.
“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”
Believe in Jesus
Jesus died for your sins and rose again, defeating death. Faith is trusting that His work - not yours - makes you right with God.
Salvation is a gift received by faith, not earned by performance.
“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith - and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God - not by works, so that no one can boast.”
Respond in prayer
You can pray something like: "Jesus, I admit I am a sinner. I believe You died and rose for me. I turn from my way and follow You. Be my Lord and Savior."
Tell a believer, find a local church, and begin reading the Bible - starting with the Gospel of John.
“Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
